Years ago my family started a fun tradition of racing dirt bikes around Easter time. On some family property out of town, I made a track to practice riding on. We decided that would be a perfect spot to have an annual desert race. Not the same family members come each year, so the challenge changes. It is always fun to see who will take home the bragging rights. We have loved this tradition and the challenge to win the title. The race is usually about 5.5 miles and 3 loops. The first section of the loop is the motorcross track and the other part is the desert. We lay it out with ribbons and run it a few times to pack it in. We usually try to change it up from year to year to keep it fun and interesting.Â

Here are some pictures from race day.
During the race
The more riders the better the race is! This race we had 9 riders each heat- 3 heats.
This track has burms, jumps, and whoops. It is awesome! 3 loops to the finish line.
